About

For the Cause is a 501(c)(3) non-profit with a mission to empower the revitalization of Columbia and Luzerne counties by linking people to resources in support of professional and social sustainability with a significant emphasis in helping teens grow into tomorrow’s leaders. Through the organization’s past events and current biggest venture the Teen Center, For the Cause strives to create a region where people thrive as they live, work and play. For the Cause also develops opportunities for the region to come together for a common goal through many fun events including the Santa Speedo Run and the Annual Gala.

Founded in 2009, For the Cause has been operating for over 14 years. We cannot thank you enough for all the support! We have encouraged and sponsored opportunities throughout this time to engage you and yours in the community. We are appreciative of the welcoming response and contributions you have helped us create in this past decade:

• Raising $37, 000 to support a Berwick child as she recovers from brain cancer
• Building awareness of local health initiatives through over 20 community events, over 1000 participants, and raising more than $100,000.
• Distributing over 200,000 meals to local families through food campaigns.
• Contributing free snacks through our Kids’ Café program to dozens of after school programs and summer camps.

Our biggest venture is the Teen Center. Since October of 2017, we have been providing programs and a safe space for nearly 300 teens on a monthly basis.
